| Plot: | Madhavan is based out of Srirangam, and he comes to Chennai to join a college. He stays with his sister Anu Hasan and her husband Raghuvaran. Madhavan does not like his brother-in-law and never talks to him, despite several attempts made by his sister to convince both. Madhavan meets Meera Jasmine during a bus journey, and it is love at first sight for him. Madhavan again meets Meera Jasmine on a few more occasions and proposes his love, but Meera Jasmine warns Madhavan to stop following her despite liking him. Madhavan understands that Meera Jasmine's brother Atul Kulkarni is a local goon, and he attacks anyone who follows his sister. Meera Jasmine does not want Madhavan to get beaten by her brother and advises him to stop following her. But Madhavan is not scared of this, and one day, Atul Kulkarni's hit men spot Madhavan and Meera Jasmine together. They try to attack Madhavan, but instead, Madhavan beats them up, which gives them the courage to Meera Jasmine to love him as he is capable of fighting her brother. Madhavan's brother-in-law gets to know about the love story and offers help which makes them both talk. Madhavan's sister feels happy that her husband and brother are in good terms now with each other. One day, Atul Kulkarni comes to attack Madhavan's sister's family, but in the meantime, Madhavan threatens to attack Atul Kulkarni's family, thereby frightening him. Meera Jasmine decides to elope with Madhavan. Atul Kulkarni chases them along with his men. The couple is tracked down, and the goons start attacking Madhavan. Now Meera Jasmine interferes and challenges Atul Kulkarni to attack Madhavan single-handedly without any of his hit men. He accepts and starts attacking Madhavan. But Madhavan retaliates and hits back Atul Kulkarni, who gets severely injured. He takes a sword and puts it next to him, but rather than killing him, and he spares him because he is Meera Jasmine's brother. Atul Kulkarni accepts his defeat and lets his sister go with Madhavan. | |
